I've somehow gotten over 8 million views for my startup on Instagram and in this video I just want to show you how I did it and maybe some of you guys building out there find it useful. The first thing you need to change is your perspective on Instagram. The audience here is extremely valuable for startups in my opinion. You have key decision makers, investors, and people with a lot of money scrolling on here in what I believe is a less noisy environment than X and LinkedIn.

in what I believe is a less noisy environment than X and LinkedIn. Additionally, Instagram is one of the only platforms where you can show a raw demo of your product and have thousands of people comment to try it. So the very first piece of advice I can give you is to study other well-performing videos. If you're building an app or SaaS product, you need to find videos that perform very well

If you're building an app or SaaS product, you need to find videos that perform very well and copy them. I would make 10 variations of a single video, changing the script here and there, and putting my product and app right in the middle. Now the second piece of advice is have a system ready. You need to have a lead magnet or a form ready to send users who interact with your video.

You need to have a lead magnet or a form ready to send users who interact with your video. And the most important thing, have an automation ready. Meaning any video you make should have a clear call to action for the viewer. You need to have a user comment on your video so you can send them a link to your product. But the best thing I ever did is because these people already interacted with my video,

But the best thing I ever did is because these people already interacted with my video, I have them in my DMs. All I have to do is send them a nice quick little voice note, introducing myself, what I'm building, and getting their feedback. Extremely useful if you're building an early stage product. These people already liked your video, they commented, they want to try it out. I'm 100% sure if you pitch them on a 15 minute call, they will jump on a call with you.

I'm 100% sure if you pitch them on a 15 minute call, they will jump on a call with you. I did this over 40 times over the course of a week while we launched our product back in March. Now the last but most important thing is to show a real use case for your product, and find a way to package it in the video in a polarizing way. Now, why the hell do I say polarizing?

1:39

Now, why the hell do I say polarizing? Well, because for Sapient, the startup I'm building, that's exactly what I did for every single video. I put fast paced classical music in a dystopian style format, in a way that is the complete polar opposite of what everyone else is doing. You need to sell your product through the camera as something the world cannot exist with.

You need to sell your product through the camera as something the world cannot exist with. So add urgency to it, and a shitload of passion. Make the person watching the video feel something in their body. And I promise you, if you do that, you will be successful. I hope you found this useful. Have a good night.
