If you're traveling outside of the country, this is what your wallet setup needs to look like if you wanna avoid a sticky situation. First things first is I always carry USD. Any country that I travel to, I will carry a few hundred US dollars to use or convert if needed. The second thing is I always also carry the local currency. So right now I'm living here in Bangkok, Thailand, and I always have physical cash
no matter what country I'm in. Now quick tip, whenever you're getting cash for the country you're traveling to, avoid using those currency exchange places. They're gonna rip you off. The best way to do it is A, go to the bank before your travels, or B, have this card right here. Not sponsored, but the Charles Schwab debit card
is one of the few debit cards in the world that allow you to use all the ATMs worldwide, not get hit with any foreign transaction fees or ATM fees. This thing is truly goated and it is part of my travel setup for like the past eight years. So I got my backup cash, I got my local currency,
but I also like to have my travel credit cards. Now when it comes to travel credit cards, I always carry a MasterCard, an American Express, and a Visa card. The reason why I carry one of each network is because in different places around the world, some places do not take Amex, which then means I gotta use a MasterCard or a Visa.
But you can expect about 95% of the world to use both Master and Visa. Also pro tip, the reason why I run mostly credit cards instead of debit is because if I'm in a foreign country and someone steals my information and they go spend on these credit cards, well guess what? The transaction can be disputed with the lender
and then I lose zero dollars because credit cards are the bank's money, not my money. Now one last thing on these cards here, you wanna make sure that they're credit cards and debit cards that have no foreign transaction fees. That way any spend that you're doing in that country, you're not spending additional money.
To wrap it all up, this card here, this is just my fun card. This is Priority Pass. I use this to be able to get into lounges. And if you travel as much as I do, that it sucks to just be sitting at an airport and not have access to a shower, to a good bathroom, good food, drinks, et cetera.
So Priority Pass is definitely, if you can get one, get one. Now if you wanna learn how to play the credit card game at the highest level and get millions of points, bougie travel, and so much more, read the caption and follow for more.
