About SavedThat

Built solo. Director reads every email.

Alexey Polev, founder of SavedThat

A note from the founder

I'm Alexey. I built SavedThat because I had a folder of 400+ saved Reels and YouTube videos that I never went back to - and when I did, I couldn't find what I was looking for. The promise of «save for later» was broken on every platform I used.

So I built the thing I wanted: save anything you watch, get it transcribed automatically, search by what was actually said. It works on YouTube, Instagram Reels, and TikTok - across 100+ languages. There’s an Android Share Intent and a Chrome extension; the iPhone Share Sheet is on the way.

The Android app is live on Google Play, the iPhone app is still on the way, and the web app works in any browser. If something breaks or you want a feature, write to hello@savedthat.app - it goes to my inbox and I reply within a day or two.

- Alexey

What SavedThat does

SavedThat is a semantic video bookmarking service that helps you save, transcribe, and search across videos from YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. Instead of scrolling through hundreds of saved posts looking for that one recipe or coding tutorial, you can search by what was actually said.
