Safe by design
OAuth 2.1, no shared password
You sign in with SavedThat. The AI client never sees your password — only a scoped, revocable token.
Explicit consent
A consent screen shows exactly which app is connecting and what it can do before anything is granted.
Read-only
The agent can search, list, and read transcripts. It can't post, delete, or change your account.
Revoke anytime
Disconnect any AI client from your SavedThat settings whenever you want.
Only your data
Row-Level Security means an agent only ever sees the signed-in user's own library.
Public option
Don't want to sign in? A separate public server exposes only product info and public transcripts.
Questions
Do I need a SavedThat account?
Yes — sign in with your free SavedThat account when you connect. The agent then acts as you, searching only your own library. No password is ever shared with the AI client.
Which AI clients work?
Any MCP-compatible client. We give one-click or copy-paste setup for Claude (web + desktop), ChatGPT (developer mode), Cursor, VS Code, and Claude Code. Others that accept a remote MCP URL work too.
What can it access?
Only your saved videos and their transcripts, read-only. It can search your library, list recent saves, and fetch a transcript. It cannot post, delete, change settings, or see anything else in your account.
Is it safe?
Connection uses OAuth 2.1 with PKCE. You see an explicit consent screen showing the app and what it can do, and you can revoke access anytime in Settings. Row-Level Security guarantees an agent only ever sees the signed-in user's data.
Is there a no-login option?
Yes. A public, read-only MCP server at savedthat.app/api/mcp exposes product info and publicly-indexed transcripts — no account needed. The personal server (savedthat.app/api/mcp/me) is the one that searches your own library.
Does it cost extra?
No. It uses your existing SavedThat plan. Connecting an AI client is free.
